This exhibition marks a significant moment in an extensive acquisition of works by Israeli artists for the permanent collection of Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The Israeli art collection is an accumulation of works assembled from the moment the Museum was founded to the present, and their varying exhibition over the years reflects the different perceptions of them. The collection’s historical scope depicts a wide view of an archival and conservational project, both symbolical and real.
