Eyal Bitton

Eyal Bitton is a multidisciplinary artist who explores phenomena in the realm of human perception through performances and installations centered around audio-visuals relationships produced by technical means. His work is characterized by abstractaction of the cinematic and musical mediums and the creation of immersive experiences that challenge the audience using video, strobing lights, smoke, and extreme frequencies. His practice focuses on designing and fabricating electronic systems for image and sound processing.

Bitton studied in the Photography department of Minshar, Tel Aviv, and is a graduate of the New Media Department of Musrara, Jerusalem. He is a founding member of the audio-visual group WACKELKONTAKT which has performed in clubs and festivals around Europe; a member of the extreme art collective Studio Straus; a member of the post-Industrial dou KASHAIOF; and a founding member of the Deraon Olam ensemble.

Bitton has presented work and performed in Ars Electronica Festival, the Acco Festival of Alternative Israeli Theatre, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Petah Tikva Museum of Art, the CCA, the Jerusalem Season of Culture, the Musrara Mix Festival, the Autumn Cult Festival, the Zer01ne Festival, The Mediterranea 18 Young Artists Biennale, and more. He has released music on acclaimed record labels such as Magia Roja (Barcelona), Chondritic Sound (Los Angeles) and Under My Feet (London).
