Lonnie Monka is a PhD student in the Theater Studies Department at Hebrew University, where he is researching the intersection of modernist art and orality through a study of David Antin’s talk-poems.
Lonnie is generally interested in the meeting of art and literary worlds and enjoys balancing individual projects with collaborative and curatorial practices. His poetry, translations, and other writings have been published in various journals and magazines, and he enjoys exploring ways of performing (some links below). He founded Jerusalism, a non-profit organization promoting Israeli literature in English, and he edits the literary journal Halah.
